When will the 2023/2024 JSCE/BECE examination start?
The 2023 JSCE/BECE timetable is out and the examination will commence Monday 15th May 2023 and end on Friday 26th May 2023.
All candidates writing BECE 2023 should take note of the following:
- Practical in Business Studies and Basic Science & Technology (BST) should be in sets where the number of candidates is large and the equipment cannot go around. However, the practical examination should not exceed 5.00 pm. Computers can be used in place of manual Typewriters for Business Studies.
- Albinos and Blind Candidates are to be given 30mins extra time in all subjects.
- Blind Candidates must use NECO-supplied OBR Customised Braille Sheet for the Examination.

The BECE grading system is as follows:
- A – Distinction (100 – 80)
- B – Upper Credit (60 – 79)
- C – Lower Credit (50 – 59)
- P – Pass (40 – 49)
- F – Fail (0 – 39)
