2023/2024 JSCE/BECE Timetable & Grading System

When will the 2025 Junior WAEC/BECE Examination Start?

The 2025 JSCE/BECE timetable is out, and the examination will commence on Monday, 12th May 2025 and end on Friday, 23rd May 2025.

All candidates writing BECE 2025 should take note of the following:

  • Practical in Business Studies and Basic Science & Technology (BST) should be in sets where the number of candidates is large and the equipment cannot go around. However, the practical examination should not exceed 5.00 pm. Computers can be used in place of manual Typewriters for Business Studies.
  • Albinos and Blind Candidates are to be given 30 mins extra time in all subjects.
  • Blind Candidates must use NECO-supplied OBR Customised Braille Sheet for the Examination.

Monday 12th May

  • 5161: Paper I – Christian Religious Studies – 1hr – 10:00 am – 11:00 am
  • 5181: Paper I – Islamic Studies – 1hr – 10:00 am – 11:00 am
  • 5162: Paper II – Christian Religious Studies – 1hr – 11:00 am – 12:00 noon

BECE Grading System:

The BECE grading system is as follows:

  • A – Distinction (100 – 80)
  • B – Upper Credit (60 – 79)
  • C – Lower Credit (50 – 59)
  • P – Pass (40 – 49)
  • F – Fail (0 – 39)
