Blaise Pascal’s Arithmetic Machine 1642
Pascaline Machine.

The Pascaline machine was invented by a French mathematician called Blaise Pascal in the year 1642. It was the first adding machine invented.

It was an automobile odometer which used a series of cogwheels to calculate data. It resembled the modern desk calculator.
