The earth attracts all objects on this planet to itself. The force with which the earth attracts all objects is called the force of gravity or gravitational force.
It is because of the earth’s pull that objects above the earth fall down to the earth. Earth’s gravity pulls other objects towards its centre without touching them. An object’s weight is the amount of gravitational force.
