What is a Mechanical Workshop?
A mechanical workshop is a workshop engaged in the design, manufacture, erection, and servicing of mechanical equipment and machinery. Mechanical tasks such as welding, drilling, and cutting take place here.
Machines in the mechanical workshop include lathe machines, cutting machines, drilling machines, etc.
Below are some safety rules to be followed in the mechanical workshop;
- Do not put on loose dresses.
- Use files with handles.
- Wear safety boots.
- Put on workshop aprons.
- Do not remove chips with naked hands.
- Use safety goggles when on a machine.
- Clean the machine after use.
- Stop the machine and switch off the power before leaving the workshop.
