Causes of workshop accidents include;
1. Lack of provision of safety devices.
2. Failure to use safety devices, for example, eye goggles, hand gloves, and safety shoes.
3. Use of damaged tools and machines.
4. Carelessness in the workshop students.
5. Loss of concentration due to tiredness/fatigue.
6. Over congestion of the working area.
7. Inadequate lighting and congestion.
8. Slippery floor.
9. Physically unfit students operating machines.
10. Ignorance of the workman on workshop accidents.
11. Machines overcrowding.
12. Many accidents occur due to a lack of knowledge and training of the employees.
