The way woodwork tools are cared for is the same way metalwork hand tools are also cared for. In caring for metalwork hand tools, one must think about the moving parts of machines and tools. For machine parts to move freely, they must be lubricated.
1. Dusting and Cleaning:
Caring for metalwork hand tools begins with regular dusting and cleaning using a wire brush, air-jet, or vacuumA vacuum is an area of space containing little or no matter (solids, liquids, and gases). It is a space with nothing in it, not even air. More cleaner. Cleaning may require using a damp cloth, detergent, and any other cleaning agents. To remove dust and accumulated debris that may clog a machine, cleaning is required.
