Attributes of Punctual and Regular Workers

Lesson Progress
0% Complete

Punctuality and Regularity:

Punctuality means getting to work on time and settling down, before the time of resumption. This will involve getting to work on time as agreed upon by both parties.

To be regular at work means that the worker would always report for duty, on every working day, at the right time, without fail, unless he is given a leave of absence at work.

Attributes of Punctual and Regular Workers:

A worker who is always punctual and regular at work cultivates the following attributes:

1. Consistency: A staff with the right attitude must have consistent behavior, that is, he must not alter his behavior no matter the circumstance of the work assigned to him.

2. Interest in the Job: Another essential attribute of a worker, with the right attitude to work, is an interest in the job. A staff who is interested in the job enjoys and finds pleasure, carrying out any assignment given to him. He will put extra effort at the end of the day so as to complete any urgent job given to him, without being paid overtime.

3. Promptness: Promptness involves a worker performing what he is expected to do, without delay, or waiting for a reminder from his supervisor.

4. Commitment: A worker who is committed is usually dedicated and devoted to his assignment. He gladly accepts responsibility, and is very happy about the job he is performing.
