attributes of truthfulness

The following are some traits or attributes of truthfulness:

1. Consistent Behaviour: A consistent person must have a pattern or standard of doing things, which must remain consistent all the time, irrespective of the individual involved. The person should be reliable and trusted by everyone at all times. An example is a worker who is punctual to work every day, irrespective of whether the manager is present or not.

2. Steadfastness: Anyone that is firm in dealing with people is said to be steadfast. The person must believe in what he is doing, and must not change his opinion or conduct no matter the situation.

3. Straightforwardness: This attribute involves not being difficult or hard to understand. The person should be transparent, honest and open-minded in dealing with others. He must not be crafty in dealing with others.
