What is Repentance?

To repent means to feel pain, sorrow, or regret for what one has done or omitted to do. It also means to turn back from doing evil.

Theologically, it means to be sorry for sin and see it as morally evil, and seek forgiveness.

It is to feel pain on account of a particular event and to remember with sorrow.

Therefore Repentance Means;

1. The condition of being penitent.

2. A feeling of regret or remorse for doing wrong or sinning.

3. Accepting one’s wrong with the decision of not repeating the wrong deed.

4. Readiness to apologize and ask for forgiveness.
