The original home of Abraham was Ur of the Chaldeans.

Ur was a city in the region of Sumer, southern Mesopotamia, in what is modern-day Iraq.

His father Terah left Ur to settle in Haran, there, he died at the age of one hundred and seventy-five years (175)

While at Haran, God called Abraham. He was seventy-five (75) years old then, It was a divine call and obedience response to God.

Abram was the first man to move out from his natal home for the sake of his religion.

As a result of Abraham’s obedience, God entered into a special relationship with him (called a covenant)

In obedience, Abraham left Haran with his wife Sarah, Lot, his nephew, servants and slaves, and all his possessions, to the land God would show him.
