  • Parts of the Constitution that Explain National Consciousness

The Nigerian constitution has eight (8) chapters. Each chapter has a topic that thoroughly dwells and explains the items.

The chapter two (2) of the Nigeria constitution promotes national consciousness as its explains “fundamental objectives” and “directive Principles of State Policy”

Chapter two (2), Number fourteen (14) sub-section (3) states that:

“The composition of the government of the federation or any of its agencies and the conduct of its affairs shall be carried out in such a manner to reflect the federal character of Nigeria and the need to promote national loyalty, thereby ensuring that there shall be no predominance of persons from a few states or from a few ethnic or other sectional groups in the government or in any of it agencies”.
