- Error-Free Information

To ensure error-free information, it is necessary to perform the following:
1. Data Control: This ensures that the right data is put in.
2. Data Verification: This is a process in which data is checked, for accuracy and inconsistency, after data has been transferred from one source to another. This ensures that data is not misread, omitted, or misinterpreted during preparation.
3. Data Validation: This detects wrong or unreasonable data. This is a process of determining the accuracy of data. It can be referred to as data vetting or data cleaning. The process is used to ensure that data conforms to the specification. For example, character checks, logic checks, range checks, spell, and grammar checks.
