  • Changing Font Styles

Font Style:

To make text appear bolder.

  1. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click the “B” button (or press Ctrl+B) to toggle between normal and bold weight.

You can change other formatting options, like italics or underlining. 

Changing Heading Styles:

  1. Click Home to activate the Ribbon and select the text to be formatted.
  2. Click on the style(s) of your choice in the Styles bar on the Ribbon.
  3. Find the “Styles” gallery: The “Styles” gallery is typically located in the centre of the ribbon, under the “Home” tab. 
  4. Choose a heading style: Select the heading style you want to apply to the selected text (e.g., Heading 1, Heading 2)

Font Size:

  1. Click Home to activate the Ribbon and select the text to be formatted.
  2. On the font bar, click on the font size drop-down list.
  3. Font size is typically measured in points (pt). One point is equal to approximately 1/72 of an inch.

Font Colour:

  1. Click Home to activate the Ribbon and select the text to be formatted.
  2. Click on the font colour drop-down list in the Font bar of the Ribbon and choose the appropriate font colour.

The Page Layout tab also offers the same functions as Paragraph bar for adjusting indentation. Alternatively, the Increase/Decrease Indent button on the Ribbon could be used.
