Formatting allows you to change the appearance of your document by changing any of the following attributes:
Font Type and Size: This describes a set of characters that have the same features, like typeface design and size. For example, Calibri, Times New Roman, Arial, Gothic, Courier, etc.

The arrow next to the displayed font type or size indicates that there is a drop-down menu or a selection list available to choose from.

The default font type in Microsoft Word is Calibri. The default font size is also 11 points. This applies to new, blank documents.Â

Font style: This displays the style which letters are written. These styles are used to modify the appearance of text, making it more prominent or visually distinct. In Microsoft Word, common font styles include Regular, Bold, Italic, Bold Italic and Underline.

Font colour: Click the down arrow next to Font colour, choose your desired colour from the palette.

Effects:
- Strikethrough
