- Thesaurus
The Microsoft Word thesaurus is a built-in tool that helps writers find synonyms and antonyms for a selected word.
- Select the word whose synonyms are sought.
- Click Review tab.
- Click Thesaurus on the Proofing bar, which opens a pane on the right side of the screen.
- Right-click on the selected word and choose “Synonym” from the context menu.
- The Thesaurus will display a list of synonyms or antonyms for the selected word.
- You can replace the original word with a suggested synonym.
