Below are the steps to launch MS Word:
Starting a Computer System:
- Switch on the power source.
- Switch on the UPS.
- Switch on the System Unit.
- Switch on the Monitor.
- Wait for the booting process to end.
- The desktop appears with the taskbar, Icons and Start button.
Launching Microsoft Word:
1. Click on the Microsoft Start button on the taskbar to open the Start menu.
2. Click on the All Programs button (If the Microsoft Word icon is on the start menu, click to launch Word. It will be placed there if it is a frequently used application. Pinning it to the Windows Taskbar is also an option for easy access).

3. Click on the Microsoft Office folder.
4. Finally, click the Microsoft Office Word 2007, 2010 or any other version you have installed on your system. You have just created a new Word document.
