What is an Outline?

An outline is a list of the main ideas or facts about something without going into detail. 

Purpose of Outlining:

  • It helps to organize your paragraphs well.
  • It also helps in developing paragraphs fully.
  • It helps to have adequate facts before writing. 
  • It helps in gathering all your ideas before you start writing.
