How to Read Well: 

1. Read the passage carefully with a purpose .

2. Look over or read quickly to find the main ideas.

3. Get an overview of what the passage is about.

4. Use your dictionary, write new words and their meanings in your vocabulary exercise book.

5. Write the answers to the questions. 

Key Factors in Writing:

1. Know the purpose/goal of your writing.

2. Know/consider the target audience.

3. Follow the guides given carefully. 

4. Pay careful attention to spelling, use of grammar and careless mistakes.

5. Edit and conclude your work.

Prewriting Techniques:

a. Brainstorming: 

Brainstorming techniques is a way to generate ideas within a group setting.

b. Free writing:

Freewriting is a way in which a person writes quickly and continuously, with a free association of ideas, especially as a means of initiating a more focused composition. 

c. Make a list:

This is a process of creating a few lists of different ideas you can think of concerning your chosen topic.

Evaluation:

i. List two prewriting techniques. 

ii. Mention two reading skills.
