  • Nature | Starting of The Game of Soccer

Nature of the Game Of Soccer:

Soccer is played by two teams of eleven players each and five to seven substitutes but three are allowed during a game.

As of 2024, the number of substitutes allowed in football depends on the competition. In major football leagues, a total of 5 substitutes are allowed.

A total of 22 players play the game of football.

The captains of the two teams shake hands with the referee and after which, a toss of the coin is made. The captain that wins the toss may choose to kick off or which goal post his team will defend.

Starting of the Game Of Soccer:

The game of Soccer is started at the centre of the playing field by a centre pass (kick-off)

The players should be on their half of the field and should stay at least 9.15 m away from the ball.
