Common Soccer Injuries

Common soccer injuries include:

1. Cramp: A cramp is a painful contraction or spasm of a muscle usually caused by fatigue or tired muscles, dehydration, inadequate warm-up, conditioning and stretching.

2. Dislocation: Dislocation is the displacement of one or more bone ends from its position at the joint.

3. Fracture: A fracture is a break, bend or crack in the bone of the body, It is a major injury to the bone.

4. Sprain: Sprain is the stretching or tearing of the ligament holding body joints. Sprains occur at the joints.

5. Strain: Strain is the tearing of the muscle fibres due to overstretching of the muscles. It is an injury to the muscles. A hamstring injury is a common type of muscle injury in soccer, caused by a strain or tear to the muscles or tendons in the back of the thigh.

6. Wounds: Due to the physical nature of the game of football, players can sustain wounds which can be cuts or abrasions.
