Ball Games (Soccer) II

1. Outline any five (5) soccer skills.

Answer:

  • Kicking
  • Dribbling
  • Passing
  • Goalkeeping
  • Heading

 

2. List five (5) safety measures in soccer.

Answer:

  • Adequate warm-up before starting the activity.
  • Safe playing ground. The court should not be wet or slippery.
  •  Remove garbage and debris from the playing arena.
  • Ensure there are no holes or stumps that may cause injury to the players.
  • Players should be hydrated often especially with water before, during and after games and practices.

 

3. State five (5) kick-off soccer rules.

Answer:

  • Every player must remain in his/her own half of the field until the ball is played.
  • The players of the opposing team must be at least 9.15 m away from the ball.
  • The ball must be passed forward not backward or kicked into the opponent’s half of the field.
  • The ball must make a complete revolution of its size or travel its circumference before it is considered to be in play.
  • The player who kicked the ball from the centre spot must not kick again until a player has kicked it.
