Below are the types of contact sports:

1. Full Contact Sports:

This involves direct physical body contact. They can not be performed without physical body touch or contact between the contestants because the rules of such sports permit imparting on your opponent.

Examples Of Full (Core) Contact Sports:

1. Wrestling

2. Boxing

3. Taekwondo

4. Judo

5. Karate

6. Sumo

2. Partial Contact Sports:

These are sporting activities that permit a level or degree of body contact though, body contact does not form part of their rules as a condition for the sports but in the course of the sporting events, body touch or contact is observed for instance, tackling and struggling to possess the ball in soccer makes for body contact.

Examples of Partial Contact sports:

1. Volleyball

2. Soccer

3. Hockey

4. Handball

5. Basketball etc.
