Socialization can be defined as a process by which the individual acquires knowledge, language, social skills, and values to conform with the norms and roles required for integration into their group or community.
It is a learning process that begins at birth and continues till death. It is also the transmission of ideas, culture, and knowledge to the next generation. Through socialization, an individual acquires their personal identity and learns the behaviour that is appropriate in their community.
