Introduction – Propagation of Crops

This is the study of how crops are grown from different planting materials. Plant growth can be increased in the following methods:

• By planting their seeds.

• By using the cutting method.

• By planting part of their stem, root or leaves. 

This method of increasing the number of plants is called propagation.
