Axial Skeleton - Skull

The brain is divided into three namely: Forebrain (Cerebrum), midbrain, and hindbrain (Cerebellum, and medulla oblongata).

Human-Brain


1. Forebrain (Cerebrum): This is the centre for voluntary actions, conscious sensation, sense of smell, memory, speech, reasoning, problem-solving, etc.

2. Midbrain: This connects the fore and hindbrain. It controls the posture and eye muscles.

3. Hindbrain: This is made up of the cerebellum and medulla oblongata. The cerebellum controls muscular activities of the body, hearing, visions, taste, and smell.
