Wood can be defined as a fibrous material used for fuel or timber.
It is a structural tissue found in the stems and roots of trees and other woody plants.
In JSS 1, we discussed the types of wood and gave examples. In this lesson, let us remind ourselves of some examples of both softwood and hardwood.
