What is an Inscribed Circle?

In geometry, an incircle or inscribed circle of a triangle is a circle whose circumference touches each side of a given triangle. An inscribed circle is sometimes called an incircle. It is the largest circle contained in the triangle and in tangent to (touches) the three sides. The centre of the incircle is a triangle centre called the triangle’s incenter.
