- Introduction to Technical Drawing
What is Technical Drawing?
Technical drawing, also known as drafting or draughting, is the act and discipline of composing plans that visually communicate how something functions or has to be constructed.
It is based on the knowledge of plane geometry, i.e. geometry of two dimensions – length and breadth; solid geometry i.e. length, breadth and depth, and orthographic projection.
In this lesson, we will introduce you to Geometric Construction.
What is Geometric Construction?
Geometric construction refers to the process in which angles, lines and geometric shapes are drawn using a compass and ruler, without the use of specific measurements of length, angle, etc.
