A disciple is a pupil, student, follower, who remains loyal to their leader.

A disciple is a humble servant who obeys and follows the vision of his master.

A disciple receives an instruction, afterward, goes out to teach others what he has learnt from his master during his lifetime.

Examples of some great teachers who had disciples were Socrates, Buddha, Aristotle, and our Lord Jesus Christ, who was the greatest teacher.

Applied to Jesus, a disciple is someone who learns from him to live like him; someone who, because of God’s awakening grace, conforms his or her words and ways to the words and ways of Jesus.
