4. Jesus gave the disciples and the seventy power to cure the sick in His name and have authority over unclean spirits. It is possible for us as human beings to be given spiritual powers by God.
5. The mission allowed the disciples and the seventy to practice what they had learnt from Jesus Christ and what they were preaching about. It allowed the disciples and the seventy to grow in their faith in God. They were prepared for greater work through their missions.
