1. Both missions were successful because the disciples and the seventy were able to spread the Word of God.
2. They converted a lot of people to Christianity, and they won a lot of new souls for Christ.
3. They performed miracles of healing of various diseases.
4. They were able to drive out demons using Jesus’ name.
5. Jesus rewarded them with eternal life, we see this because He said to them that their names were written in the Book of Life.
The Effects of the Disciples’ and the Seventy’s Activities on Nigerian Christians Today:
1. Their activities influenced the growth of the Christian faith in Nigeria. People who believed in traditional gods are now turning to the One true God. This is because the message of the Gospel they shared spread to the African continent and Nigeria.
2. The introduction and operation of Missionary activities. The disciples and the seventy set an example of how to go on Missions to spread the Gospel around the world. This example has caused Missionaries to come to Africa to spread God’s Word and has also caused Nigerians and even Africans to become Missionaries so they can also spread God’s Word.
3. Increase in the number of Christian Churches (of various denominations) in Nigeria.
Examples of different Missions in Nigeria are:
a. The Roman Catholic Mission.
b. The Church of Scotland Mission (C.S.M).
c. The Baptist Mission.
d. The Methodist Mission.

1. Unfavourable, harsh climates.

3. Tropical and Unknown diseases.
4. The need for Interpreters.
5. Cultural differences.
6. Opposition from unbelievers.
