Rights can be grouped into the following:

Civic Rights:

These include:

  • Right to life
  • Right to dignity of human person
  • Right to freedom of expression
  • Right to private and family life
  • Right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion
  • Right to freedom from discrimination
  • Right to personal liberty

Political Rights:

These include:

  • Right to peaceful assembly and association
  • Right to a fair hearing
  • Right to Vote and be Voted for
  • The Right to seek redress or legal remedy
