Writing: Formal Letter to your Principal
Write a letter to your Principal
A formal letter is an official letter or business letter. It is the type of letter written to persons in their official capacity, that is, it is written to the person’s office and not the person holding the office. The person you are writing to is not interested in your personal problems even if he/she is a relative. He is only interested in your reason for writing. To write a good formal letter you must get used to a strict set of rules.
Features of a Formal Letter:
- Address: Formal letters require two addresses that is, the writer’s address at the top right side and the receiver’s address at the left-hand side just below the date.
- The body/content
