What is Advertising?
It is a means of calling the attention of members of the public, to a product, service, or idea, in order to induce them to buy the product. It gives information about a product to the public.
When advertising a product, the manufacturer wants the prospective buyers, or users, to know the type of product available, the quality of the product, and the price, and also where to get such products.
Information Provided by Advertising:
Information provided to advertise agricultural products are:
- Basic information such as address, phone number, contact details and website address of the manufacturer.
- Brand name and common trade name.
- Special product offers.
- Where the product can easily be obtained.
- Information about the product or service.
Branding is how one business differentiates itself from other similar products or services. A brand helps distinguish a product or service. At the most basic level, branding is made up of a company’s name and logo, visual design, mission, and tone of voice.
