What Is Scale Drawing?

Scale drawing can be defined as the drawing of lines and objects to any given proportion or ratio. It is an accurate representation of an object.

There are several reasons for drawing to scale. Objects may be too large or too small, for example, the map of Nigeria which will be too large to draw when using the real dimensions. The size of the object is reduced when it is too large or increased when it is too small.

There are three ways of specifying scales on a drawing:

a. Full-size scale.

b. Reduction size scale.

c. Enlarged scale.
