- Functions of NERC
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is an independent, regulatory agency, which was established on 31st October 2005, to regulate the activities of the electricity industry in Nigeria.
The NERC is responsible for regulating the standards of performance for all electricity licensees and monitoring performance to ensure that those standards are met and maintained or even surpassed.
