Paul’s Trial Before Festus (Acts 25: 1-22):
When Porcius Festus became governor he travelled from Caesarea to Jerusalem. When he got there the high priest and chief men of the Jews told him about Paul’s case, and then they asked Festus if he could summon Paul to Jerusalem so they could ambush him on the way.
Festus told them Paul would remain in Caesarea. He said the men who had accusations against Paul should travel with him in eight to ten days back to Caesarea and they would press charges against him there.
