- Speech Work: Consonant Contrast /p/ & /b/
The articulation of the sounds /p/ and /b/ involve the two lips.
However:
/p/ – is a voiceless bilabial sound while,
/b/ is a voiced bilabial sound. In producing the two sounds there is a closure of the two lips followed by a sudden release of air.
Listen and repeat the following examples:
