  1. EVALUATION QUESTION
Imagine that you are one of the speakers in a debate in your school on the topic”Parents should Allow their Children to Choose their Career.”Write your contribution for or against the motion.

The Honourable Chairman, Impartial Panel Of Judges,Accurate Time keeper ,My Wothy Co-debaters and My Fellow Student,Good Morning.
I am here to propose the motion that states”Parents should allow their Children to Choose Their Career”.

Firstly,I will like to give the definitions of some important words in the topic:
” A parent ” is a father or mother of a child.”To allow” is to let (someone) have or do something. ”A child” is a son or daughter of any age.”Choose” is to pick out (someone or something) as being the best or most appropriate of two or more alternatives.”Their ”means belonging to or associated with…”Career” is an individual’s metaphorical “journey” through learning, work and other aspects of life.

When a child is being given the oppurtunity to choose his career he knows his skills, talents and experiences and will be able to choose wisely this will be of great importance to the society and nation at large as this will reduce negative attitude to work, unemployment ,reduction in criminal activities, etc.
In cases were parents choose a career for their child they are likely to pick one which brings affluence, respect, etc. such as medicine, engineering, etc and not based on the child’s ability and capacity this leads to unemployment(many people go for such jobs and their a limited spaces for that particular post),increase in negative attitude of workers, etc.
We have heard of many stories were children are forced into a particular career and when they are done with high institution they give their parents the certificate and return to their own will. Those years of study was just a waste of time, energy and other resources. And those who just continue with the career live in regret and do not put their best in such jobs, this is another set back in the nation.

With these few points of mine I hope you are convinced not confused that parents should allow their children allowed to choose their career.
    Thank you.
