What is a Phrasal Verb?
A phrasal verb is simply formed by joining an adverb or preposition with a lexical verb.
Phrasal verbs can serve as idiomatic expressions, hence, they are idioms. This is because they do not have literal (ordinary) meaning but figurative meaning.
