When dealing with calculations involving power of 10 you can use the rules of indices as follows.
a) 10n × 10m = 10n + m
e.g.
(i) 103 × 102 = 103+2 = 105
(ii) 108 × 10-3 = 108+(-3) = 108-3 = 105
