In ∆ABC and ∆PQR as shown below, the sides of both triangles that have the same colour are corresponding sides.

AC and PR are corresponding sides 

BC and QR are corresponding sides

\( \scriptsize \angle \)B = \( \scriptsize \angle \)Q

\( \scriptsize \angle \)C = \( \scriptsize \angle \)R 

This means angles A and P are corresponding (or matching angles) angles B and Q are corresponding angles and angles C and R are corresponding angles.
