Example 6.1.1:

Find the value contained in the box

\( \frac{3}{14} = \frac{\boxed{?} }{x} \)

Solution

First, cross multiply

⇒ \(\scriptsize 3 \: \times \: 28 = 14 \: \times \: \boxed{?}\)

⇒ \(\scriptsize \boxed{?}= \normalsize \frac{ 3 \: \times \: 28}{14} \\ \scriptsize = 6 \)
