  • General Interactions among the Components of Ecosystem

1. Green crop plants use carbon dioxide, water and chlorophyll in the presence of sunlight to produce carbohydrates or starch.

2. Farm animals feed on these carbohydrates or plants and release carbon dioxide for crop plants to take in.

3. Microorganisms and other decomposers break down dead plant and animal dung to release nutrients to the soil.

4. Crops plants give out oxygen during photosynthesis which is used by animals for their normal respiration.
