Afro - Alpine Vegetation
Afro-Alpine Vegetation.

This biome occurs in highlands and some mountains in Africa e.g  Kinyan highlands, Guinea highlands, mountains of Cameroun and Fernando Po.

Characteristics of Afro-Alpine Vegetation:

1. The afro-alpine zone occurs at elevations above 10,000 ft and is characterized by low-growing shrubs.

2. The climate is similar to that of the temperate biome due to its altitude.

3. Plant species include giant Lobelia and giant Senecio.
