Tundra
Tundra Biome.

Tundra is found in the northern parts of America, Europe and Asia up to the North pole.

Climatic Conditions / Characteristics:

1. This biome is very cold most of the year with temperatures often below 0°C.

2. The ground is permanently covered with snow except for about 3 months in the summer. The vegetation is scanty in this biome.

3. Common plant species include herbs, and a few trees.

4. Common animals in the biome include reindeer lemmings, polar bears, and arctic foxes.
