- Asexual Reproduction
Asexual Reproduction does not involve gametes or sex cells, in sample organisms such as bacteria. The cell simply divides into two and each new cell forms an independent organism. But in more complex organisms part of the organism may develop into a new individual.
Asexual reproduction can be defined as the process of producing genetically identical offspring from one parent.
Several ways that organisms can reproduce asexual include:
1. Binary fission
2. Multiple fission
3. Fragmentation
4. Spore formation
5. Budding
6. Vegetative propagation
