Sexual Reproduction:
Sexual reproduction is the process of involving the fusion of gametes (the male and the female gametes) to form a zygote and the production of offspring that are genetically different from each other.
Types of Sexual Propagation:
i. Conjugation
ii. Fusion of gametes
Conjugation:
This is a type of sexual reproduction which occurs in lower organisms such as spirogyra and fungi. In conjugation, nuclear materials are passed from one cell to another.
Process:
i. Two filaments come to lie side by side.
