A marsh is a wetland/lowland that is usually flooded or waterlogged all the time. Tall grasses and shrubs are predominant.
Formation of Marshes:
Marshes are formed in areas where drainage is poor. Such as flood plants of rivers, and river mouths with extensive delta.
