  • Terrestrial Habitat

Terrestrial habitat refers to habitat that is predominantly on land.

Terrestrial habitats are spread out across a large range of environments such as marshes, deserts, rainforests, grasslands, shorelines etc.

Semi-natural or man-made habitats such as national parks or biosphere reserves also constitute terrestrial habitats.

The terrestrial habitat is divided into four groups. These are:

  • Marsh
  • Rainforest
  • Savannah or Grassland
  • Arid land
